Period like cramps and back pain

Hello all! I'm 31 weeks 5 days and yesterday started with period like cramping and lower back pain.  It doesn't seem as if my stomach is becoming tight, just a constant cramping feel as if I am about to start my period.  I have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning, just wasn't sure if anyone else experienced this type of situation.  Thanks in advance

Thanks. Don't think my baby boy can possibly go any further down though he's low as it is,lol.

She actually said it was completely normal.  She said he's starting to make his way down further and further and it can become very painful.  She said if I can time it and it appears to be contractions with worsening pain, then I need to call.  If it's just cramping and back pain with nothing else, I'm fine. :)  She did do a cervical ultrasound which showed my cervix was still completely closed.

Hi. What did your doctor say? I am 32+4 weeks and experiening the same pain but don't want to waste the Dr time. Not due to go see midwife for another week.
