Phenergan anyone??

I'm 8wks and have had morning sickness for 3wks non stop, I could no longer take it anymore, none of the remedies were helping so I went to the ER today because I don't have an appt wit the gyn until the 16th. The Dr prescribed phenergan & I'm a bit surprised. I thought zofran was usually the drug of choice for pregnant women. Anyone else taking phenergan??

You're welcome and thank you as well @QUEENBEE28.

Ladies, it feels like torture now but it'll be worth it all over again when we see those wittle babies...awee.  Luckily, morning sickness does have a maximun 9 month expiration date..lol. Congrats to all and feel better ladies...I noticed for me that lots of rest can help too,so, try and get some rest when you're able to.

I have been taking phenergan ever since I was 12 weeks because I would not hold anything down in my stomach. At 8weeks the dr prescribed me zofran but i did absolutely nothing and so they change it to phenergan.

I take it at the beginning of every one of my pregnancies. It has always been safe for me... nothing else works for me...

I took phenegran my entire first pregnancy and with my current pregnancy.  While phenegran has reduced my vomiting,  i am still nauseated all day. Now with zofran, it reduced absolutely nothing...i vomited the same amount and was just as sick, so, i was escalated to phenegran which helps at least with the frequency of my vomiting. I hope that the meds work for you and that you don't have to experience anymore morning sickness.
