Pill crusher for prenatals

I am thinking about getting a pill crusher for my prenatals because I am having the hardest time swallowing them, even if I break them in half.  Has anyone else used a pill crusher and just added the powder to a protein shake or glass of juice?

Try n get them in soluble form if possible or liquid. If not try gummy ones

Believee crushing them will make them useless tk take. Tablets r coated n designed to breakdown at variois points of going thru ur body. Some r designed to breakdown in ur stomach and some in ur bowels. Tablets that r designed like this r useless and can cause problems wen taken in crushed form as they get absorbed in ur mouth at a much higher concentration. Not worth taking like that. Try liquid or gummy ones. Ask a pharmacist or doc if u want to check the above.x

If you crush them I warn you they will taste nasty and nothing really helps with That. At work we put.our crushed pills in with yogurt, pudding or apple sauce. You will still taste it and it will likely make you gag more then before. I take mine whole but in a spoonful of yogurt.

My doctor told me I could take the flintstone gummies. Which is what I took with both of my pregnancies and with this one as well. He's happy with me taking two a day. I have a hard time swallowing Tylenol, so gummies made me super happy. Never thought to crush the prenatals. lol

Crushing them will be fine. Toss them in a shake or orange juice and you should be good :-)

my doctor said the gummies don't work as good as the other one.. id rather take the gummies then the others way to big and plus I haven't taken mine for a while because I have acid reflux and its hard to swollow

I also take gummy prenatal vitamins. They are so much better.

I buy tbe gummy prenatals by vitafusion. Super yummy!
