Platelet count

Hey ladies! I have a low platelet count at 36 weeks, of 140. Anyone else? Or anyone had similar results before?

Well at least u have an end in sight ! I agree the end is the worst !!! My pubic bone hurts so bad I swear its fractured ! :)

Being induced Tuesday if nothing happens naturally.
I've been given meds for high blood pressure now! The end of this pregnancy has been hard work!!

Im doing good... well uncomfortable and big but im 37 weeks so a little longer. Good luck it will all go great !

Not yet! Just at hospital now waiting to find out if I need to be induced. I dropped to 87, but went up to 99 last time. Just had yet another test! Hope it's good news. I'm now 3 days over!

107 so good for another two weeks ( the week before delivery ) and will recheck. Hope ur's go up it will be ok !

So I'm now 39+2 and at 87 platelets. Docs aren't doing anything to really ease my concerns. Feeling frustrated!!!

That's good news Jess!
I just had another test and I'm now down to 111 platelet count at 38 weeks and I'm starting to get concerned now. Hope I can still have natural and an epi! Waiting on further confirmation on what to do from the docs.

Thanks girls. I went to hematologist they reassured me its ok and happens to some of us. Taking b12 go back in two weeks to recheck.probably do nothing unless got terribly low then steroids. Feeling better !

Jess, they are just getting my bloods tested regular to keep an eye. I have been steady at 140 for a few weeks which I believe is just outside the norm of 150-400 . I am hoping not to go without the epi that's for sure!

Yes i was ok ,i just took some vitamin B12 and it wasn't working how they wanted and then my doctor put me on steroids i had a good chance for c-section or labor without epidural,  but i ended up with natural birth with epidural. The level of platelets i needed for natural birth was 90 and up, so don't worry too much

I'm 39+3 and my platelets were checked yesterday and were 135, my Dr said it's low but not dangerously low so not to worry about it too much.

Thank u the first wasnt a planned c section but my labor never progressed. They wont give you an epidural at my hospital if platelets under 100 I guess its unsafe so when it came for csection only option was under General anesthesia.  Baby was good I was justc sad I missed the birth. The second was planned repeat csection but numbers got to low so they did it at 37 weeks same under anesthesia. This time I am hop in to be awake ! But its already low he wants me to see blood doctor to see about platelet trasfusions or steriods but im not sure. I need to see if these are saying for baby. Im kinda over it I just want a health baby and if I miss it its ok too. Are they doing anything for you ??

Hope everything goes well Jess! I had no probs with my 1st.
Did they have to do a c because of the count? Was your recovery ok?

Yes all three pregnancies I have had it ! Both babies were csection under general anesthesia. This one im 33 weeks and number is 107 right now so Im seeing a hematologist next week :(

I'm 33 weeks right now my platelets count number is 106 with first baby the lowest  was 70.
