I'm o negative, I have had to get the shot twice and will need again after baby is born! Its very important that u get this shot if u need it, can cause bleeding and can be harmful to u and baby if u don't have it.

It refers to the - (negative) and + (positive) of your blood type. For example B- blood type versus B+ blood type. If you have a negative blood type and your baby could have a positive blood type (from the father) you need these shots to prevent your body from creating anti bodies that will attack your your baby. Most people are a positive blood type and don't need the shot which is why you may not have heard of it. Your early on pregnancy blood work tells your doctor if you need the shots or not.

Lol. Well, I have to get one because I'm a negative blood type and SO is a positive blood type. If my babies happen to have a positive blood type then my body will attack the pregnancy. The shot is called a rhogam shot and that assures your body will accept my pregnancies.

Rh refers to your blood type. Women with negative blood types require shots to ensure a healthy pregnancy, especially if their baby has a positive blood types. It is very important to know what your blood type is, because if God forbid you have a miscarriage and have a negative blood type, then a shot that day is necessary to ensure that you will be able to conceive again in the future. ♥
