Scared to Leave progesterone

I am 18w4d with a baby boy. I am really scared to finish my progesterone cyclogest,  I have about 15 left still. I know I should scale down now maybe take it every second or third day. I'm most  scared because I had 2 mc in the past,  last one 2013. First time I took progesterone though since 4.5weeks twice daily,  from 12 weeks I scaled down to one at night only. I asked the doc if I can take it a bit longer he said no harm done. When did you leave progesterone? Was all fine?  I just hope my placenta is producing enough of everything it should. I am already so attached to my boy. Don't want to have devastation again. I keep my faith strong though and pray lots. Will it be safe to leave it now?  Also I haven't told my family I'm expecting yet,  wanted to wait till half mark to be sure.  Would love  to hear from you please xxxx God bless

My dr said to stop at 10 or 12 weeks bc that's when the placenta formed so the progesterone won't help since the placenta will do it thing nd take care if the pregnancy. I stopped at 11 weeks and I'm almost 39 weeks now.
