Having sharp pains on the right side near pelvis. Is this normal? It's not an unbearable pain just painful enough that I know it's there.

Most of us call it "lightning crotch". Usually baby elbows or kicks the pelvic floor or uterine muscles and causes them to spasm.  It is also called round ligament pain.  Normal, but painful.

During pregnancy we do get lots of pains.  And it can be very normal. Just monitor it and see if it goes away --  if it doesn't, mention it at your next doctors appointment. If it intensifies, call your doctor now.  good luck
