Shaving

I'm 19 weeks and finding it difficult to shave "down there". Any suggestions on how to make it easier out if Nair works on that area? I just don't want any funny looks from the Dr when he examines me or at the time of delivery

you can try stooping and placing a mirror in front of you, or let your husband/boyfriend do it for you, its quite a hysterical experience

Your doctor really won't care or be taken aback. I had my first before I had ever shaved. This time I stopped shaving when I could see any more. That being said, things are getting crazy down there; last night I asked my husband if he will trim it a bit because it is tickling me! It's been a loooong time since I've let it get this long.

Due to risk of infection during/after a c section (whether emergancy or planned section) its not recommended shaving within last 6 weeks of pregnancy in case such procedure needs carried out. In saying that I find it itchy and uncomfortable, its a real turn off for me i cant have my partner touch around there with a full forrestry and i feel its unhygienic so therefore im for trimming at least. Im currently nearing 26 weeks and i cant see it no more no matter how much i inhale or twist snd bend so its a blind sweep with a razor lol awkward but any hair removal creams are so irritating to my skin

I once asked my doctor during a pelvic exam (gotta think of something to say) how many of his patients shave their nether regions.  He said in a totally disinterested voice, "About half."  It was the boredom he evinced about the topic that amused me.  Here women are, shaving where they shouldn't bother, and giving themselves ingrown hairs, and worrying that their pubic hairs are offensive, all because they feel like someone is going to judge them, i.e., their doctor, who might actually be the last person in the world to give a darn.  If your husband has seen ladies with shaved vulvas in porn and wants you to do it because he might like it, that's one thing, but don't bother to do it because of your doctor.  He's seen women in all states and stages and probably can tell you the medical reasons not to bother.
