Spotting?

I'm 10 weeks in with my first baby, I've been noticing some spotting when I wipe after going to the bathroom, first time was light pink, second time was darker pink/red and last night and today it's like a rusty red. It's always super mild, it never gets on my undies which makes me think it's like a pseudo period or something. My doctor didn't seem worried, and said I should go to the er if it's enough to soak through a pad. I've also been experiencing some slight itching (I know, gross and tmi - sorry) and some slight twinges of pain in my vag area. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

I had a small hematoma (I guess what they call the bleeding/spotting) and had light spotting from week six through week 10. Mostly dark brown but intermittently red. I had ultrasounds a bit more frequently (every 2 weeks in then to once a month) but I was told they most often resolve on their own if small. I saw my Dr last week and a specialist on Wednesday and neither seemed too concerned about it and couldn't really see it anymore on the scan. Bleeding stopped so I'm assuming that's good. I'm 14 weeks tomorrow-- by the way, because the bleeding was so light, much like you described is how mine was, the doctor wanted to check my urine for an infection, so ask yours to check as that can be the cause too. Hope this helps!

I should also add like the previous poster, I took it easy the entire month. Thankfully I work a desk job and when I came home I rested/slept. My husband took over all the house work and I was cautious not to lift much.
