The flue or cold

Dear pregnant woman, yesterday I had a sore throath, today running nose. I am afraid it will become a cough. I am  20 weeks pregnant. What can I do to get rid of this cold or flue?

I agree with the first comment. Glad you're feeling better. Ask your OB about zinc. I don't recommend taking it without first consulting the doc because too much of most minerals are not good for a developing baby.

I feel Better now, girls. I did everything possible. Hope it won't happen again. It's winter and difficult not to catch a cold or be infected by somebody. Thank you all, take care of yourselves

I take vitamin C and zink at the very first sign; then a nap. I think I must've stopped a cold from hitting me at least twice. I hope you don't get sick.

You're welcome. It won't cure the cold. But it will shorten it. Nothing can cure a cold or a flu unfortunately

Stay hydrated, eat live enzymes and food high in vitamin c such as fresh fruit and veggies, rest as much as possible, use a humidifier, blow your nose and spit out the congestion as much as possible to reduce the growth of the cold germs. If you get a fever you can take Tylenol every 6 hours to reduce it.
