Twins?

At my 13 week checkup today, the doctor noticed that my uterus was directly below my belly button. She asked if I was sure about my LMP, which I am. She then asked if twins ran in my family, which they do. She listened for the heartbeat but just barely caught it because I have an anterior placenta (in front of the baby rather than behind). She says I am measuring somewhere around 16-18 weeks and says that is common in twin pregnancies. I have an ultrasound scheduled in a couple weeks but while I wait, I was curious to know if anyone else ended up with twins after measuring larger.

I forgot to mention they think it's an anterior placenta just because it's hard to catch the heartbeat and only when they use the Doppler thing on the sides of my belly.

It's going to drive me crazy waiting for the ultrasound but they're pretty booked until then. :(

I can't believe you have to wait 2weeks before finding out!  That would make me crazy lol.  How do you know you have an anterior placenta if you haven't had an ultrasound yet?

I had my first doctor appointment at 11 weeks, but I was measuring 14 weeks. the dates I gave them just didn't match so they pulled an ultrasound machine into the room and sure enough, there were two babies!
