UTI & AZO

Is it safe to take azo? I'm 7 weeks & this is my 3rd uti in a month , I'm in a lot of pain. I took macrobid 3 days, then 2 weeks later took macrobid for 7 days. Now I have another uti & it's the weekend & don't want to pay an urgent care bill. Can I take azo maximum strength?

Thanks! I called & the azo is safe. The doctor on call prescribed another antibiotic.

Cranberry juice or if you hate it like I do...they have natural cranberry capsules that you can buy in natural food stores or where vitamins are in drug stores. I hate antibiotics and avoid them if I can but the cranberry capsules always cleared mine. Don't know if I would trust azo while pregnant...but pure cranberry is natural

And the AZO website says consult  doctor if you're pregnant or breastfeeding for "AZO Pain Relief".  I think there's a plain AZO without pain relief.

I'd call the urgent care center that prescribed your first two antibiotic rounds and ask for a renewal.

This is your third in a month - I've had docs just issue a new prescription without being seen when they're that close together.

Drinking lots of water and cranberry juice helped me.. You might wanna ask your obgyn to give you a different cream if that one is not working..
