Upset stomach

Sorry tmi. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and it seems like everytime I eat I have bad abdominal pain and have to go to the bathroom. I've had IBS in the past but it's been good how it seems like it's back now that I'm pregnant and everything I eat triggers it. Or is this maybe something in the first trimester ? When I was pregnant with my daughter I was fine the whole pregnancy.

I am 4 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I am experiencing the same thing. I don't have any other pregnancy symptoms except IBS and it scares me because I keep worrying something is wrong with the baby. I am so glad there is a forum that can soothe my fears....bring on 2nd trimester so I don't have to worry so much.

I suffered exactly the same and it's was my IBS playing up. I was so worried and had no idea what was going on.I ended up changing my pregnancy vitamins and it worked wonders. I am now 10 weeks and feeling amazing. Good Luck :)

Sometimes pregnancy can trigger IBS symptoms.  Trust me, I spent most of my 1st trimester freaking out, thinking I was going to lose my baby.  But it is just the IBS flaring up because of the hormones.  I mean, I would wake up in the middle of the night with brutal cramps, thinking I was having a miscarriage, and it ended up being the other, thank God.  Tell your doctor about it.  Mine was not concerned at all.  Just make sure you are drinking lots of fluids.  Now that I am in my 2nd trimester, it seems that it is better for me, but time will tell.  Congrats!!!  And stay calm!
