Am your opposite but doc is not worried though. I have been overweight for a while,  which has not been a concern for me coz I don't pack my weight around my tummy :) you can guess where it goes to. Anyway since I discovered I was pregnant around 14 weeks my weight has been low. At 16 weeks I was 167 which was low from my normsl one. At 20 weeks i was 170 and at 25 i was 167 again. It made me worry but my doc said i shd not worry as long as the scan says my baby is fine. As long as you are eating healthy foods and having 2000 calories daily and I understand extra 200 at some point you she be fine.

Seriously? Sorry, but your doctor is dumb.. Or maybe he really likes to be textbook. Well, we don't all fit in a text book. Sorry if I sound rude, but that is ridiculous.. I'm always borderline underweight, but when pregnant I gain it fast.. With my first I gained about 50lbs and with this one it will be 50-60lbs.. I'm due march 9th.. I'm 6' so weight balances out better on me, thank goodness for that.. My doctor has never been concerned about it; some people just gain a lot more pregnant.. Think as long as you eat heathy and don't keep the weight on after it's fine.. Don't stress out about it girl..

Dumb a$$ doctors!! You are far from over weight!!, you can't go by guidelines when pregnant cause everyone is different, I'm 18 weeks and when I got pregnant I weighed 140 and now I'm to 157 but I wasn't really eating like I should before either, my doctor is just fine with it, I gained 60 lbs with my first and lost it right away and only 13 with my second, I would have told them to staight up shove it!!

Lol true! I think if the doctor tells you, you are overweight he should atleast give you more info about what he expects. Your weight seems fine

This app helps you track your weight. Are yiu using it? I use it and I feel it's keeping me on track since I know what my pre pregnancy was and how much I should gain during.

I would guess cause your total weight gain for 18 weeks should only be up to it 8 pounds. But you don't sound overweight to me

You've got me there - you don't sound like you've put on excessive weight to me! My midwife doesn't way me as she thinks its all silly anyway. As long as I'm healthy and eating well she knows it'll be fine. So kind of the complete opposite in medical care there!! Yoiu only need am extra 200 calories in the last trimester which is the same as a glass of milk and a banana so as long as you're not  wasting to excess I would be ignoring your doctors opinion of your weight. These figures are straight out of my medial book:
Bmi of less than 19 = total weight gain of 28-40 lbs
Bmi of 19-26 = total weight gain of 25-35lbs
Bmi of 27-30 = total weight gain of 15-25lbs
Bmi of 30 or more = total weight gain of 15lbs or less.
Your bmi is your pre-prgnaancy bmi. It'll give you an idea of where you should be roughly but I don't know your height so I've given you the lot :-) x
