Watermelon is very high in fiber and sugars I actually read it's one thing you can eat to help relive constipation probably why you felt so gassy and bloated and cramps
That generally happens because watermelon digests fast so when it catches up to the other food along the line it kind of reacts.
Watermelon did that to me. I was craving it so bad and they taste so good this year. I got a major upset stomach. I thought it would be fine but I guessed wrong.
I ate one small piece yesterday and then got that way. I had been feeling nauseous and was outside at a farmers market (I was drinking water) so I thought it was dehydration and the nausea at first. But I had been so constipated and then all of a sudden I was gassy and crampy and then couldn't stop going to the bathroom (sorry tmi). I did feel better afterwards but it was terrible during! And I only ate one small piece (it was a sample at the farmers market). I bought one too at the farmers market...guess I need to eat it in small doses...lol
Someone told me over the weekend that watermelon has more acid than any other fruit.
