As long as your doctor is ok with it and your not doing any crazy dieting or limiting your food I would say normal. I'm 13 weeks and only gained 1.6lbs

It totally depends on your pre pregnancy weight.  If you are normal or overweight 8lbs is probably fine if your doc is ok when it.  If you are underweight before pregnancy i would really focus on gaining more weight.  Your most important job right now is growing a baby.  I would do everything possible to give them the best start possible.

It all depends on your body type, but youll really start gaining weight soon.  My first two pregnancies I didn't gain much, now on my third and I'm gaining it much faster.

I'm also 18 weeks and have gained 7lbs. You would think a lot more with this big ole belly though lol.

I'm 13 wks and have already gained six pounds. Everyone's body is different and what is safe weight gain for one person may be too much or too little for another person. Just listen to your doc. If they think you are gaining too much or not enough they'll let you know.

Everyone Is Different. As Long As Your DR Isn't Concerned You Shouldn't Worry. Just Be Thankful It Will BeLess To Lose After Baby Is Born
