Hi. I work for the DEFACS program here in Ga. The first thing that I would apply for is WIC. It stands for Assistance for Women Infants and Children.  While you are pregnant it will allow you to receive the basic foods such as milk, bread, and cheese. Your state may vary so find out if you have this program. The welfare part is tricky. Here it is called TANF and through the program you will receive one set amount of money for you and your children. The qualifications are that you have to comply with Child Support and sometimes you will have to put in volunteer hours in order to receive the money monthly. Most of the time it is not worth it because you may receive 235.00 per month but have to volunteer 40 hours per week. SNAP benefits are also available to you as you can apply in order to receive a card with money on it monthly in order to purchase food for yourself. Since you left your job you will need a letter from your doctor and employer stating why you left so that you can get approved. Lastly,  there is also Pregnant Woman's Medicaid. This will also require a letter from your doctor because you are pregnant with more than one baby. If you provide the letter about your employment status and the reason,  you should get approved with no problem. The letter from your employer will have to state your last day of employment as well. I'm not sure if you were applying for all of this but I hope it helps. Good Luck

They should help you for a little bit after birth. And you can qualify for a bit of government assistance after pregnancy since it will be you with 2 babies. But I'm not sure for how long. How far along are you? And may I ask why you had to leave your job? My doctor was able to give me a note for light duty at work my job couldn't accomodate me since I work in probation, my job didn't want to be liable. So my job allowed me to take medical leave and I was able to file for short term disability at 28 weeks. They will cover me up to 8 weeks after my c section.

Okay I did all the process. I heard that I Kant get any welfare for my kids onces they are born, is that true? And I received a letter from the gain program saying I had to look or go bak to work after I give birth. But I'm not going to be able to because I'm having a c section and I want to at least enjoy my kids as newborns.
