Yes, every situation AND hospital is different.  I was in hospital for 3.5 days with my first as my blood pressure spiked right after delivery.  I was there for two days with my second.  Many places also do not limit people in the delivery room (some do) and definitely you can have visitors.  You won't want a lot so ask people to space out their visits.

Yes, you do bleed a lot.  You will be given some of the stocking things to take home.  But have some heavy, industrial size pads for when you get home.  I bled for about a week after I got home.  Husband had to do a 3 am wal mart run for pads for me!  You'll deliver the placenta and they kind of wipe up then.  But they don't bathe you and you won't feel like doing it.  If you have blood on your leg, they'll wipe that off.  But remember, you're probably in stirrups and pushing and they catch the baby, so it doesn't really get on you in that way during delivery.  It is more the aftermath post delivery that I'm writing about.
good luck

Thank you everyone.

Do I leave the car seat in the car and being to the room? Is the hospital going to have adult diaper and pad for my bleeding? Also is the nurse going to wash me after delivery or I can do it myself?

How long you stay in the hospital will be based on your delivery, if you have complications, etc. So you could stay a day or weeks. It just depends. And every hospital is different with how many pepple can be in delivery room and how many can see you

Yeah I agree. Some women pack these elaborate bags and that works for them. Personally I feel the hospital has everything I need so I plan to keep it simple. As long as I have my cell, cell charger, makeup and a couple of cute onesies and burp cloths I'm happy:) And of course the car seat ready to go.

Hi there.  I packed much more with my first baby than I needed.  Here are my thoughts based on my experience:

You don't need a lot for yourself.  Don't bring your own pj's.  Wear the hospital gown.  Having a baby is a very messy and bloody experience. I had no idea the bleeding I would do.  When I stand, gush of blood every time.   You wear a special get up in terms of underwear which looks like the old fashioned panty hose with pads in it.  The gown is really functional and easy because you are recovering.  You are going to be sore after baby.  And you don't want blood on your pj's.  Bring socks that you have no problem throwing away (mine got blood on them, gross!).

You can bring a bathrobe, that might be good.  I didn't use mine but can see how that would be helpful.  Bring toiletries but I did not shower at the hospital.  Again, you are a patient and recovering.  The showers are kind of sterile (not like a hotel bathroom, ha ha) and I just did a sponge bath and showered as soon as I got home.  Take make up, lotion for you, toothbrush, etc.  I kept my hair in a pony tail for ease.

Bring things like contact list, phone charger, cameras.

For baby, you need only a going home outfit.  Your room will  have a baby cart.  Your payment to the hospital has paid for everything on that cart and it is yours.  Diapers, wipes, hair brush, shampoo, etc.  Take whatever you don't use home with you, you paid for it.  You don't need towels or anything else.  All is provided.  (they bathe your baby after birth.  YOU are trying to recover at that point.)  So, you just need a going home outfit for your new baby and the car seat to leave the hospital.  (fiddle with car seat so you know how to loosen the straps and lock into car as my husband and I looked like dorks trying to figure that out AS we were leaving the hospital.  they were probably afraid to let us leave with how much trouble we had with THAT . . .  ha ha).

good luck hon
