I am 25 weeks along with my 5th. I have been sick from day 1 nausea vomiting the works. I also suffer from severe headaches due to intracranial hypertension. Well I stopped taking my medication for the IIH because there was no telling if it would cause birth defects. I also held out on taking meds for the nausea until about 3 weeks ago. I had the rx for Zofran but wasn't taking them, I took the meds for about 5 days out of the 3 weeks. It's already bad enough that they have those Zofran commercials about birth defects. Someone went as far as to call my cell phone on Friday about a Zofran lawsuit! I flipped my lid, how dare they call me for that how do they even know what medications have been prescribed to me?? All tests and scans show that my baby is healthy but they really upset me.

I took Phenergan (I think that is how you spell it) with my second one. I was nauseaus the whole time and he turned out fine. I asked for it with this one, we have a new doctor and he wouldn't give it to me something about it being a class C medicine and not being good for the baby. Like I said though I took it with my last one and I have family that has taken it too. Maybe suggest it to your doctor...

I was taking Zofran my first pregnancy from 4 wks right when I had found out to 6-7 months and my daughter was perfectly healthy. So far this pregnancy I have been on it since 7 wks and still taking it at 22 wks and my baby boy is growing big and healthy. It is bs that they called you, I would of went off.

My doctor had mentioned a different medicine the other day and he said it had great results for mom and baby. I can't remember the name of it to save my life but that just shows if your uncomfortable with zofran there are other options.

Ive taken zofran both pregnancies and my babies are healthy. I asked my doctor about the commercials she said its just some attorney that decided zofran was bad and not to worry so im still taking it almost daily.
