I've just packed some sets of loose pj nighties as it's summer in oz and a dressing gown and a loose outfit to go home in. You can always have your partner or fam bring u something else if need be.
I wore the gown the entire time. I brought my own robe for walking the halls after my c section. To go home I brought sweats and a lose shirt.
I just brought my going home clothes and a couple outfits for baby. You bleed so much and it doesn't seem worth it to ruin a nice nightgown. The hospital gowns cover you well and you wear one thats open on back and another over that opening on the the front as a robe. Its easy for nursing too.
Your gonna be bleeding like crazy and they will have you wear these special underwear with giant diaper like pads that you will have to change often so I just wear hospital gowns it's not worth destroying your own clothes. Just bring something comfy to wear home and socks of course and slippers and don't forget your chapstick & hairties
Are you having a c section? I have always brought 2 gowns and pants pjs and I always ended up wearing hospital gown first day or 2 but also brought a pair underwear each day but with csection the boy shorts the hospital gives u are ao much easier at first so u said u are staying for quite some days that y I ask if it was c section. If so just bring a gown or 2, robe, slippers and a pair socks while there and one to go home. An outfit to wrar home something comfy sweatpants tshirt. They will also give u slipper socks if u want them but to sum up I always over packed lol but id say 2 pjs outfit or gown, 2-3 pair underwear,2-3 pair socks just 1 bra to wear home. Unless you are not breastfeeding bring a tight bra and an outfit to wear home.
I just plan on bringing several pairs of clean panties and wearing the hospital gowns. They're easy to work with if you're breast feeding and so loose they're super comfortable. I might bring a set of PJs too, and socks and slippers. Definitely socks and slippers. And then something comfortable to wear home, like sweats or yoga pants and a loose fitting top.
Nothing tight, clingy... Think of a comfy outfit you wear now, I'm personally bringing leggings extra long top and sweater, it's also dependent on the weather you're having... Luckily for us were having a very mild winter.
