advice on pooping

I'm so sorry that sounds gross or whatever but anyone who is pregnant probably has some experience with constipation. does anyone have any advice on what I can do or take to make me go like now?I can't feel like this all day and I have an hour and a half before work to figure this out. Lol

Milk of mag is my best friend.
I drink nothing but water and it didn't help.
I have gestational diabetes so fruits and juices are out of the question since it spikes up my sugars.
Milk of mag helps me so much

Plus Dr prescribed me stool softeners & for snacks I eat one fiber bar a day.

Good luck

Now coffee didn't help me the milk of magnesia did but I also found my could give me a prescription of prenatal vitamin that has a stool softer in it. Seems to be helping. It's called Citra Natal Assure.

Coffee should definitely help! Once you do get relief this time, a diet change should help keep you from getting this bad again.  Like cutting back on your dairy, eating more fruit (especially raspberries) and veggies (leafy greens and broccoli are best), and drinking lots and lots of water. I like to buy the bread with extra fiber while I'm pregnant just for the extra help! Also, beans!

Increase water and try Dr. Pepper. You can also take an over the counter stool softener. Colace is a good brand. Make sure it doesn't have anything added to it like laxative or stimulant.

I feel you. I'm still struggling. Do try a little bit of dark coffee!

I had the same problem. I tried milk of magnesia, colace, prune juice, walking and nothing worked except for an enema. Good luck!

Prune juice!! Really helps. If you have this problem every day, then miralax helps.

A good cup of dark roast coffee always helps me. And don't feel weird asking those kids of questions here...luckily were all in the same boat and many of us have experienced constipation at one point or another during pregnancy...along will all the other gross stuff lol. Try coffee hopefully it helps. I know when I get constipated in get horrible pains in my belly so I will do anything to get things moving. Keep fruits in your diet to help keep it at a minimum. Good luck!!

I did I drank water and ate lots of fruit that worked over time. I finally took milk of magnesia. Now it gave me a little cramping nothing I couldn't deal with.  I was able to go with in the hour then the rest came the following morning since I took it at night I also k lyrics took the smallest amount stated on bottle.  It's safe for your pregnancy
