So I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I had a toasted subway sandwich and the deli meat was toasted but Ive been researching and it says that in NOT supposed to eat Deli meats because of the bacteria Listeria. I only took a few bites but I'm still scared. Do yall think everything will be okay or should I be expected for the worse ?

The only time there is an issue with deli meat is if it has listeria in it. You would be violently ill and would know. So if you feel fine then nothing to worry about.

I have been eating deli meat (unheated) and sushi my whole pregnancy and my midwife said that it was okay so long as it came from a sanitary place. Obviously if it smells or looks off or the restaurant isn't clean than you shouldn't eat it, but the risk of getting listeria is extremely low. Don't stress too much for eating some

Lol don't worry my mom looked at me crazy when I told her I can't eat a ham and cheese sandwich she made me lol she's like uhh you're crazy! It's just butchered deli meat. Same with hotdogs make sure they're well cooked and purchase name brand hot dogs from the store

According to my doctor if the deli meat is heated at least to steaming or where cheese melts it kills the bacteria. You should be fine

You'll be fine I was really worried too but subway meat isn't deli meat it's all pre cooked. Stay away from fresh cut deli meat at your grocery stores. And always toast your sandwiches to be safe! If you buy packaged meat I ususally go for the ones that say honey roasted or stuff like that and no cheap brands!
