atv on cruise????

I'm 15 weeks and the baby and I are healthy. We are going on a cruise tomorrow. One of the excursion we picked was a guided tour on a dune buggie. The website says no pregnant women. Can someone please explain this?  I'm in a seat belt with helmet and glasses. What is the danger? I googled but everyone said they ATV throughout the whole pregnancy.

I agree, it's more liability for the company. I know people who ran in road races throughout their pregnancy and that is a lot more bouncing around than an ATV. I say, you need to make your own decisions. If you and the baby are healthy and everything looks safe then go for it. I went to Disney at 13 weeks pregnant and every single ride says no pregnant women, including the carasol. I did almost everything though, including the rolled coasters and baby and I are perfect.

A little bumps won't hurt you or the baby. I highly doubt that its going to be that insane. And you are still early enough you should be fine. I'm 28+2 days and still go out on our atv when I can. My dr says its fine as long as Its nothing crazy or too dangerous.

I was told that i should stop riding the atv because being bumped around can cause the plasenta to detach. That's also why u shouldn't  ride roller coasters. I'm seriously bummed that i will also be missing out on our yearly heyride because of the bumps involved. There are so many things that we have to give up while being pregnant an honestly it blows, but when it comes to the safety of our lil ones it really is better safe then sorry. I would hate if i decided to do something that resulted in harming my baby. And look at it this way... What is giving up a few fun things in the 40 weeks that it takes to have a healthy pregnancy and baby for a lifetime :)
