I have 2 girls 18 and 6. My oldest I never had a shower because she stayed a secret. I had a big shower for my second. My oldest daughter wants to have a baby shower which I don't mind but my mother in law is making a big deal about it. Everyone else says just go for it. I figure I just wouldn't invite my mother in law then. We had a bad flood last summer and we lost a lot of baby stuff. Do what makes u happy. If people don't agree then they don't have to come. Simple as that.

I think every baby deserves to be celebrated regardless of how close in age they are or their gender. My son will be 2 when this baby is born and we're planning a party for after the baby is here. We're just going to specify that we do not require gifts but if they feel it necessary we would appreciate diapers and wipes. (Just trying to figure out a nice way to word it)

I had a full blown one for my daughter. Having a boy this time. Treating it more like a diaper party this time around as we have already gotten him what he needs.

I dont think you should do it. However that is just my opinion. I love the idea of celebrating all the babies. But may e with a gender reveal party or a fun beer and diaper party. Something not as formal as a baby shower. Just my thought.

I've heard when you don't need a full on shower, but want to celebrate the baby, it's called a sprinkle. Maybe people just buy you diapers and wipes. You shouldn't need big stuff.

It's okay to do it if you are having a girl.

I personally don't think people should have two showers, but I've been to them. I wouldn't do it, but I'd support a friend who did.

I would think a didn't gender would render a good reason to have another baby shower.
