It is very common to measure two weeks ahead. I measured three ahead with my first (extra fluid) he came on his due date. With my last two and this one I measure two ahead as well
I wldnt worry about it much. With my first son he came on his due date, 11/11/11. :) but 2 days prior to his arrival, my doctor scheduled an ultrasound and they said he was weighing in at 9lbs so I shld be prepared for a big baby once I deliver. Well, he was 6lbs 12oz. Definitely not big. Lol
With this pregnancy ive been given 3 different due dates- 5/19 going off date of lmp, 5/22 babys measurements from 20wk ultrasound & 5/26 date my doctor has been using since my 20wk ultrasound. Ive come to the conclusion that my baby will come whenever hes ready and as far as his weight n size, I wont truly know until hes here. I have +/- 28days, so hopefully he comes sooner than later bc I cant wait to meet him.
Good luck with your pregnancy.
I had twins and got lots of ultrasounds and my last one they told me my babies were 4 pounds and went to labor right after and they came out 7.6 oz each and the dates were wrong too but they would tell me that date and say 10 days give or take...so i would just stick to ur normal due date.
Babies go through so many growth spurts in the womb it's hard to tell until your way farther along. Even then the estimated weight can be off by 2 pounds
Im following this. My last sono was at 20 weeks and i was measuring a week ahead. My next sono isnt until 34 weeks. Remembering when i conceived, i think the estimated due date is late. I conceived around 10/13 and due 7/18 as per the doctor. My period was always off track though.
