can primrose set labor off and can it harm you or the baby?

heya... i am due in about 4 days and im despret to have my baby i am in a lot of pain and i just want to get it all over and done with!....i have seen some were that primrose oil can start labor , iv never heard of that but i will try anything at this stage aslong as there is no side afects, sex is out of the quiestion lol i am not for that i am in to much pain for that and just no were nere in the mood for it lol
any idears people and dose any-one know of any reasons that i shouldnt try primrise oil i dont whant to put my baby in any kind of danger....
i have been takeing walks and now im suffering for really bad hayfever now lol

i no my baby is in my pelvic now and all set i just need to get it all over and done with

Kind of an update.... I have 4 children with number 5 on the way. I did not know about EPO with the first 3... WISH I DID!!! With my 4th, my MW told me to start taking it orally at 36 weeks and then vaginally insert 2 or 3 1000mg soft gels at 38 weeks. Just prick the top with a pin. I went 12 days over with my 3rd and did not do anything. I did this with my 4th and had him on my Due Date. It was so fast and easy!!! OMG he came so fast I literally had him 20 min after I got to the hospital. No rips or tears. It was so much faster and easier than any of the others. I am super naughty because I started taking them orally with this one at 33 weeks and vaginally at 34 weeks. I only take 1 orally in the morning and 2 vaginally at night. Make sure you do it right before bed because it will leak out throughout the night. And dont listen to what anyone says about this. If your doctor or MW ok this, then they are the ones who are in the medical field and they went to SCHOOL for this. I would listen to your doctor! As for me, I know the routine and I know my body. Baby is doing GREAT!!! I will be checked in 2 weeks and I will let you all know how things go!!

hi there.. .i know how you feel. i am now 4 days OVERDUE.  i know that its painful and uncomfortable, but i really think you should just wait it out. the baby will come when its ready.
as for the primrose oil, ive heard that you are suppose to start using it i think it 32 weeks or 34 weeks. there are plenty of websites that tell you how and when.

ive heard that pineapple can help start labour, ive been drinking a ton of pineapple juice and nothing is happening with me.

-try walking or sitting on an excercise ball. i know you said sex is out of the question, but seman is suppose to help soften the cervix.

good luck to you, and i wish you a safe and painless delivery. i really do suggest you wait it out, and talk to your doctor. just remember you are not alone, there is ALOT of us women who are in the same situation. i am not getting induced until this thursday, by then i will be  8 days overdue.

I have seen you have posted multiple posts about trying to get yourself into labor. If you are that miserable why not ask your doctor to induce you? You are full term.

I do not recommend anything to bring on labor. That is what we have our doctors for. To provide us the necessary and safest information to bring our babies into this world.
