counting calories

So I am 30w 2D and I have been counting calories since week 20. I eat between 2000 to 2200 a day. And my baby boy is still in the 95 percebtile! Which is great because he's big and strong the doctor says. I also keep a food journal. Who else does this? Am I just crazy? Hahaha

I don't count my calories. I can tell when I'm full & when I'm hungry so I don't feel the need. I have counted in the past when I was trying lose a few pounds or learning to listen to my body. Do whatever works for you.

I count calories during the week, aiming for 2100/day (third trimester). My doctor says that my weight gain is right where it should be, given my pre-pregnancy weight.

I lost 80 pounds prior to getting pregnant, so I have been eating healthy throughout the pregnancy. I'm 38+2 , and have gained 16 pounds so far.

My boys have both been huge, my doc said one day, 'perhaps you just have a very nourishing placenta'. :)

Well at 2000 to 2200 is too high for a calorie count. I'm a health freak n count calories on a normal prepregnancy lifestyle. I also go get weight bmi measurements every 2 weeks. N my normal calorie suggested intake is 1600 on a high protien diet. And with pregnancy doc recommend that we increase 200 to 300 calories to our diet during mid 2nd trimester n 3rd trimester.  So that would put me in the highest 1900. I'm a small frame but fit. Now if ur muscle (not fat but higher muscle tone) bmi is bigger then of course u need more calories. It depends on ur body tone.
