depressed... :(

I'm 38 weeks and 1 day and I just got stretch marks on my belly. It's On the one side of my lower abdomen. It started off just one but now there is a couple beside that one now.  I tried so hard to prevent them.. I used tummy butter and bio oil Atleast 3 times a day and I still got a couple.  They Are pretty light but I am still depressed about it.  I cried this morning when I saw them.  I hope when baby comes they will lighten up a bit and be less noticeable. My husband is so sweet and tells me there is nothing wrong with them and that I'm beautiful and growing a baby. But To me.. I just feel disgusting. I know my baby is worth it but jeez I was trying really hard to prevent them!! I do have a butterfly tattoo right beside them so after I am done having babies I think I'm Gonna get a couple lilly tattoos to cover it up. Anyone else going through the same thing?  What did you do to make yourself feel better?

There's conflicting reports on whether you can prevent them or not,  so who knows.  Certainly doesn't hurt to try! I got them really bad with my first born, but they did fade considerably. I'm on my third baby and have just stared noticing a few around my hips, but that's it so far.  I only have 7 weeks to go so I how that is it.  But I agree with the other ladies- you are beautiful mama, with or without stretch marks:)

I have read many posts on different products and some women swore by them and others said they used religiously and they still looked like a road map.I used different things in my first pregnancy and still got marks all over. They looked awful at first but eventually faded where u could barely see. With this one im not using anything special and hopei dont get any new ones but if i do oh well. Dont stress over them, its just a memory that your grew a baby inside you and brought into the world. I see some womens stories on here who probably beg to get to the point in their pregnancy to have stretch marks. Wear them proudly mom!

I'm 18 weeks and have a small one right under my belly button, so I know I will probably get them. I have always been prone to them though. I can gain 5-10 lbs and see them on mt hips. Butluckily, I am fair skinned so they are very light. I don't think they can be prevented. But coconut oil is what I use to minimize. And its a great natural moisturizer!

I have them only on the bottom half of my bump which was nice of nature - I can't see them unless I'm looking in a mirror lol
Im 39 weeks with our first and think for every woman who hates her postnatal stretch marks, there are several women unable to have children who would do anything to have those marks.
Be grateful for your supportive husband also, we're the lucky ones :)

Aww I'm sorry you are going through the same thing. Every time I look in the mirror I get depressed. :(. This Is our first baby too so I won't be able to do anything with them for awhile either.  I think when baby is actually here then I'll be Ok.  Hope You feel better.

Aw The exact same thing happened to me. I go them like at 37 weeks and cried about them a couple of times. My husband said same thing to me. He even said that when we're having kids I can try laser removal... but that's going to be a while.  Bc we are about to have our first one.

These are amazing products. Ive been using the prevention cream my entire pregnancy and at 34 weeks I am still free of any marks.

This is great also (& cheaper) if you already have marks. I saw results the first time I used it.
(On old marks I have on my thighs, not related to being pg)

It sounds silly but try to avoid bending until birth.  Get you hubby to put your socks on, etc.  It will help to prevent them along with the lotion you have been using.  A lot of times they lighten to barely noticable.  Use coconut oil after birth to help. If not...wear them as a badge of honor!  Your baby is worth them!!

With my first it was in late pregnancy I noticed a couple of stretch marks on my tummy and then BAM I was covered. No amount of creams or oils helped me. It took a long time to accept my new body and feel sexy again. I came to the conclusion we are women, we give life, we ROCK. Stretch marks are a symbol of our love and devotion to our children xoxo

I've been lucky enough so far *knocks on wood* to make it 33 weeks without any yet. Im trying to watch my weight gain and stay moisturized. Lol. That was the downside with family members...gained a lot of weight really quick during pregnancy. Or at least that's what they told me anyways. We'll see how the rest of my weeks go. If I get them, I get them. They'll be my tiger stripes! Creating a wonderful new life inside of your own isn't a cake walk. Wear those stripes proud because you've earned them.

I'm 37 weeks and have two strech marks down low, I'm waiting for the rest!! But I will wear them proudly. My body is growing a baby and if that means strech marks then so be it! Almost every mummy has them and they will fade over time! I read a quote a while back

"I'm a tiger who earned her stripes, I will wear my stripes proudly"

Same thing happened to me when I had my first. They went away after I had her.  Now that I'm over 40 weeks with my second,  they are back.  I'm assuming they will go away again. But I alai use coconut oil and Frankincense essential oil  mixed together.  Frankincense has healing properties in it!
