exercising while pregnant

So I'm really worried about gaining all kinds of weight, what are some good/safe ways and to exercise and watch your weight? I am trying to gain only 25lbs at the most with this pregnancy because I have RA.

Talk to your doctor 1st if you didn't work out before.YYou will want to start out light..ie 10-15 minute walks, swimmimg, etc then work your way up.. eat healthy.. stay away from junk and sitting on your toosh.. :)

I had just started working out for about 3 weeks before I found out I was pregnant then stopped figured it was pointless since i was going to blow up lol I have a pool so as it gets hotter I plan on swimming everyday with my kiddos and I go on bike rides every week once or twice. Thank you ladies for your help very appreciated! ;)

If you were active before you got pregnant..you can stick with the same routine and modify it as you getfurther along. If not, just stick with walking at least 3 to 4 times a week for about 30 min. Then if youfeel up to it..keep adding days and maybe an extra 15 minutes! I do walking and exercises on youtube..like pregnancy fit cardio and toning! Also, you should do some squats and kegels..I love doing leg and butt workouts.. you'll hate it while doing them, but will feel better in the long run:)

Walking at least 30 minutes a day is great. When the weather is nice put some music on and go! I do! Do like weight arm exercise.  We have 8 and 10 pound hand weights and I do arm workouts 3 X a week. Yiu could do squats too with them. Also don't fill up in eempty calories. I have junky snacks like 2x a week but usually it's tons of fruits and veggies. My doctor said if you gain lots of weight on healthy foods (some women just gain no matter what) it's easier to lose and healthier than junk food weight for the baby.

Water aerobics sounds interesting.

No, I didn't. We don't do anything too strenuous. It feels more so like getting the body ready for delivery by strengthening all the muscles and contract (which I still don't think I'm doing right :).

My doctor recommended at least 30 minutes of waking a day. I bought a prenatal dvd. And also do two sets of 10 squats a day. And some stretching.
