extreme itching, serious problem? L&D?

I am having EXTREME itching all over, but particularly on my hands and feet. I'm 34wks this has been going on for 4 days straight I can't sleep, it's much worse at night. I have had eczema my whole life and I have never experienced itching so extreme in my life! There is no rash although it is very red and irritated on the spots I itch, because I've been itching them. theses spots include but arent limited to my hands, fingers, arms, face, boobs, stomach, back, legs, buttocks, feet, toes, and head. I'm waiting on a dr to call me back, but I googled my symptoms and came up with cholestatsis. Some sort of liver issue. It does say it can cause stillbirth and premature birth, but it doesnt say anywhere whether or not to go in immediately or if it is an emergency situation, it's pretty rare I guess. Blood work must be done for diagnosis. Anybody had this or have any advice? Should I go in? Its 3:30am. Please help.

I would definitely go to labor & delivery because they may be able to treat you with meds and/or depensing on the doctor you may get placed on the induction roster. Whatever the case, try not to worry too much, yoy and baby will be fine. My sister went through the same itchy ailment with.my niece and she refused meds and my.niece was born auper healthy and still is.

Best wishes and I hope you feel better soon.

I was reading an article earlier tonight and a lady said the exact same thing and she ended up having to be induced because she in fact had cholestasis. She did go full term though! Definitely talk to your doctor as soon as you can. Good luck
