ftw being induced, so many questions

I'm 41+2 and being induced on Sunday morning. The people around me keep telling me horror stories about being induced, as if that's supposed to help. But so far I'm not feeling any anxiety or excitement, I'm not scared at all, just really really ready to have my son and have a few questions: should i eat before i go to the hospital? How long was your labor if you were induced? And will my sex drive ever come back?! Will my appetite go back to normal or will i still be hungry every second of the day?

Eat before you go and bring snacks and somethkng to drink. Your sex drive will eventually come back. You will stop eating everything in sight one day not right away. My labor was short and sweat luckily

Induction is not scary at all.

I was induced at 8mths, I was not stuffed full of drugs either. They did a sweep and insert this thing looks like a flat hard tampon. They will do this every 24hrs for 2 days. Then start a drip(depending on how extreme your circumstance it may be diff)

Nothing scary, I was lucky I got mine started in Friday afternoon then had my baby Saturday morning... You'll be fine!

My best friends sister in law has been being induced for going on 3 and a half days... from that I would say don't get your hopes up that it always goes quickly. I won't share other stories I've heard about being induced but everyone around me who has been induced lately has needed a c section.

Do eat before you go, I are dinner before hand you won't want to eat while in labor that's for sure! They started inducing me at 9pm and I had my daughter at 9pm the next night, I had an epidural though so I was stuck in bed (not a bad thing I loveddd the epidural). Your sex drive comes back lol the change in hormones makes a big difference and I can't lie for the first week I still wanted to eat everything in sight but after that my appitite went back to normal and I lost all my weight pretty fast... Without breast feeding. Good luck!!
