I would love my child no nateer what...the only cause for concern is my age...I'm 34 and will be 35(for two months) when I give birth. I just wo.feted if anyone felt a sigh of relief after the testing. My ob said between 80% and 90% correct in their assessments. That's not what I am seeing here though.....so thinking of not doing any genetics testing...not just the early ones.
I went for the first trimester testing and then never did the 2nd or 3rd trimester testing.
I chose not to with both pregnancies.
I chose not to with all 3. I would love them no matter what.
With my daughter I didnt do them because i would love her either way, and everything was fine. I will probably choose not to do them again.
I did it. I thought if they found something I would atleast have time to prepare. Well no one told me how high the false positives are for these type of test. I was told my baby had a 1-13chance of having Trisomy 18 (a nearly always fatal genetic disorder) & was then made to wait 2 weeks to have an level 2 ultrasound. Turns out the test was wrong & my baby boy is fine. I will NEVER opt for these tests again if I ever have anymore babies.
