Green tea is 100 percent fine it's just like coffee just watch your caffeine  intake,  another thing to watch for is black tea that is not good during pregnancy. I think some people are stuck in the past mean well but allot has changed over the years.  P.s when in doubt there is Google your Dr and this form :-)

The one thing I have read that warns against green tea is that it can inhibit your body's use of folic acid which we all know is necessary. Of course I can't remember exactly where I read that but I avoid green tea for the most part just to be safe...of course we all cheat on our favorite no-nos now and then :) Happy mom=happy baby, right?

God, I drink black tea every day. Black tea is the coffee of the tea world lol
Green is middle of the road. The scale goes black,green,white... in order of caffeine. My doctor told me to drink caffeine for headaches.
Also told me there is a bigger fuss about caffeine during pregnancy than there needs to be. Dont go crazy but you don't have to go without!

Omg we wer talkin about how ppl cn actually drink dr pepper lol and ur addicted to it. I hv given up fizzy drink now they sd it results in low birth weight etc. Yh green teas good for weight loss wn ur nt preg. I just craved for it a bit but shes some how convinced my hubby that it will harm the baby so hes just thrown it away now lol jokes. Think his upset after his baby nephue died last week.  Which is understandable.

I've never heard of caffeine tightening your muscles and I've done a lot of research on it bc I'm a Dr. Pepper addict lol. Green tea is good for losing weight when your not pregnant. :-)

Yes. Green tea is actually pretty low in caffeine and that is why some people avoid it. Too much caffeine can lead to low birth weight and possibly some behavior issues later in life but you can safely have up to 150-200mg of caffeine a day.

Lol wow, i drink green tea daily, of course i drink water too, but green tea is my other go to. I asked my doctor about it because my mil was fussin over me drinkin it, and my ob said it was fine.. I had to tell my mil that i was the one pregnant that id take my doctors opinion over hers because she isnt the one pregnant. People take old wives tales too seriously.
