heart palpitations

I am 11 weeks pregnant and keep getting heart palpitations. Usually when I am at rest about 3 or 4 times a day. No pain or dizziness.
It really scares me.
Is this normal in pregnancy?

Thanks for your reply. My G.P said it was normal due to extra blood and hormones too. Just freaks me out thou!

Your heart is pumping twice as hard to provide for you and the baby. Since being pregnant is this the first time you've had heart issues?

I don't believe so. But then again it could be. Your blood volume increases while pregnant so I'm sire your heart is affected in some form as well.
