heartburn :(

I am just about 5 weeks and today I  have some of the worst heartburn I have ever experienced. There are tears.  I have tried milk, baking soda and water and lastly Gaviscon.  Nothing is working.   Anyone have any tricks?   I am definately going to be losing some sleep over this bout tonight.

Update: I was released from the hospital on a clear liquid diet and I am suppose to hear from a surgeon this week. My gall bladder needs to come out.  Because I am pregnant they decided to see if it calms down. If I wasnt I would have been under the knife yesterday.  Ugh. Hopefully it can calm down so I dont have to have surgery at such an early stage of pregnancy.

Apple cider vinegar I think is also claimed to help. The real stuff with the mother. Like Bragg's brand.

I had it pretty bad in first trimester. Stopped eating all tomato based food and citrus and oily or fried food, that helped a lot. Eating yogurt once or twice a day helped. Also foods like potato, cream of wheat, bread, seemed to help some. Tums helps for a few minutes. Good luck. Hope you get some relief.

I've heard some women say that drinking some pickle juice helped with their heartburn. I personally haven't tried this but it may be worth a shot!

I had it too. Its too early to be because of a full head of hair but your digestive system is changing and can cause a heart burn feeling just try to relax and drink water it will go away. At least it did for me.
