I don't like taking meds either.  I don't have bad heartburn but when I do I drink some milk and it relieves it for me. I tried tums but that didn't last long as I couldn't take the taste.

I honestly tried everything natural to help my heart burn and it seemed like nothing worked. I don't like taking pills or meds unless I have to. I tried tums didn't work but i finally found something that did. I'm not a big fan of milk but I have some with every meal or after to prevent the heart burn and it usually works.

I take a prescription called Zantac as well. 150mg and it's my bff! Can be taken twice daily. Ask your Dr about it. It's safe for baby.

I was taking Tums at.first,  then moved to Zantac over the counter. Eventually that medicine didn't work anymore so my OB just prescribed me Protonix and I FINALLY have relief. Hope this helps
