I found milk made me worse in the end, I was drinking litres of the stuff turns out the fat contents just aggravates heartburn more. I booked an appointment with my dr after trying gaviscon and acid neutralisers it got that angry and he gave me a thicker version called peptac its peppermint flavour but its like swallowing pva glue, nasty but you take 10mls before meal times or whenever you need it. I got giant bottles of the stuff
A handful of almonds and milk helps keep it away :) good luck!
You can try a shot of white vinegar, that helps me every time. Even before I was pregnant.
I have acid reflux and a tablespoon of mustard (have to eat it all at once) has ALWAYS worked for me, but recently not so much! My doctor said to buy omeprazole magnesium (the generic for zantac, prilosec etc) and it has worked wonders!!! I would try the mustard first then ask your dr about it as an option other than a prescription.
Ginger helps some women too.
Try mashed potatoes it works for me
Mustard or a teaspoon of baking soda. I also got a prescription from my doctor so ask. They have stuff that can be prescribed that is safe for the baby
Teaspoon of mustard. Works great like the other lady advised.:-)
I put mustard on a piece of bread and it helps me! I also got a thing of tic tacs to carry around with me that help too
Tsp of mustard. Sip of pickle juice. Zantac. Good luck. Mine has gotten so bad that nothing hardly helps. I have to take Zantac and zofran (which is for nausea) before bed. If I don't do that and sleep with my head elevated i wake up at least twice to go throw up from the burn of acid reflux. 28w today and been having heartburn every day going on two months now.
For me fun helped me a lot. After I eat I chew gum and that helped me. I used to get heartburn even just drinking water!
Peppermint and lemon oil on the chest and neck
You need to get yourself some gaviscon, and make an apt with your doc, he may be able to give you something else. I am just on gaviscon at the mo though. It is safe to have in pregnancy.
