hospital & doctor cruel!

The night before last I was in l&d with strong contractions and dilating quickly.. and was in so much pain they sent me home on morphine to relax me. But my doctor told me next time I come in they will not keep me or give me any medication for pain unless im bleeding or leaking fluids and I would be sent home in pain other wise.. that was scary and flat out cruel. I will 39 wks tomorrow and I have been in pre labor for days. And im scared my doctor isn't going to take care of me when I need to go to the hospital. He actually acted unconcerned and put out with me that I came to yhe hospital but I was in soo much pain that I was on my hands and knees screaming and vomiting bc of pain. My husband had to take me. I tried to relieve the pain on my own for 4 hours. :'( so now im nervous for labor bc I have to pretty much experience this on my own at home and I am worried bc I am dilating so fast that when my eater breaks that I wont make it in time to the hospital. I live 40 min from my hospital. Plz pray for me ladies. This has really stressed out me and my husband. I tried to switch docs but I can't bc my insurance Is paying. Plz tell me what I should do? :'( I keep having strong contractions. And even if my water breaks they wont keep me unless ive dilated 6cm. Ughh so nervous

I was 3 cm so I coukd understand why I had to be sent home. Anf my contractions were close together so that threw me off guard. It was when the doc told me If I come back and im not 6 cm & fkuids leaking or bleeding I would be sent home with no medication! Thats what made me nervous. And yes I am in the middle of trying to talk to mu insurance company to see what can be done. Fingers crossed bc im nervous. Ive been in pain all day :(

BTW how dilated are you? I could only see them sending you home if not more then 3 or 4 dilated. Did they monitor contractions and tell you they aren't close enough together. I am hoping they have a reason for you being sent home.

I would call your insurance. Also call the hospital L&d and ask them their policy. I'd tell them you feel mistreated and feel they are not giving you the best care. They don't want anyone to report them.

Have you called your insurance company to see what pre and post natal care is covered?

The hospital I go to did the same thing. It pisses me off so bad that they can treat us like this.

You will basically be having your baby on your own.

My insurance will only cover me if I go to this hospital and the only other close hospital that's near by my insurance won't cover. And I never had a problem with this with my last child. I was dilated a 3 and they kept me. I don't know if this is Bc if my insurance or what I don't know what to expect now :( I feel like they r putting me and my unborn at risk

That is crazy. Does your doctor know how far you are from the hospital? Is there another hospital near by if there is how does your insurance handle emergency issues? I don't have much advice to offer but I pray everything works out for your family.

Dilated to 6?!?! That's ridiculous! Can you go to another hospital?
