No being induced not does definitely not go faster just like natural all depends everyone is different. But being induced does cause more severe contractions bc it is not natUral and forcing your body to something it shOuld do on it's own. I was induced with my first.  Ended up having a csection 12 hours later.  And bc they monitor the baby break your water for  you usually and catheter you you end up sTuck in bed in excruciating labor pain. I am trYing for a v bac this time.  Unless there is a medical reason I do not suggest or condone getting induced.  Increases chances of having csection unnecessarily and done people think the medicine could increase risk of autism.  This is not proved however.  Natural is always best when Possible.

Does anemia affect your delivery? I'm anemic. Doctor didn't mention anything about it but advised me to think about my birthing plan last week. I may also have gestational diabetes...3 hr test is tomorrow.

My ob office is doing test due to some symptoms plus high blood pressure. But yeah I am hoping to wait for my son naturally since I am not in a lot of pain and what they think it is I only have 2 of the symptoms for what they think it is.

I was induced with my first 2 and things went fine. My first labor was 10 hours and my second was 4. Im pretty sure that inductions go faster than going into labor on your own, only because they monitor how much pitocin you get. Keep your head up girlie. You'll do great!

Due to having a high risk pregnancy because of gestational diabetes and high blood pressure I'm getting induced in about 2 weeks. If they thought it would be safe for me to wait for my boy to be ready I would but if they tell me it's safer to have him a week early I'm all for it. I just want my baby to be healthy even if it means I can't have him naturally

Most doctors won't induce without a reason.  I had complications with another health issue and couldn't carry him anymore.  I was in excruciating pain and he was afraid I would irreparably hurt myself if I continued.  To be honest I also had a lot of anxiety about going into labour which was making everything worse.

But to be fair everyone has their reasons and it's ultimately a decision that's made between doctor and patient. I don't believe in shaming women for their choice to electively choose induction. Or c-section.

I see a lot of woman shaming on here when women talk about this topic and it's kinda crappy because this should be a safe place for discussion,

I already know that I will most likely be induced in Aug because I had to be with both my other boys because of high bloodpressure issues along with some others. My Dr warned me from the start if it gets high again it will be the same.
Lots of people who have csections before don't have the option to even try to go natural because there are different risks espiclly depending on the types of methods that had to be used to remove baby. Some women can't even risks getting pregnant again after some csections...

I'm curious too. How do they know so soon and how come some people are due around the same time as me (august) and they know their scheduled c-section date?
