Thank you ladies, I am hoping he will come out fast
I was induced with both of my kids (now ages 9&6). My advice is to try to relax. It's really not that scary. The pitocin can cause some really strong contractions so focus on your breathing and if you want an epi don't be afraid to ask for it early (4 cm or so) because the contractions brought on by the drugs are stronger than the gradual occurring ones. Also (this may sound a little crazy, but trust me) when it's time to push let the epi die down a little. I know, you think that's when you'll need it the most. But actually being able to feel the powerful urge to push without being overly numb makes the pushing stage go so much faster because you can feel how to work with your body instead of being told when to push bc the monitor is showing a contraction. It wore down with my daughter and I pushed her out in 15 min. Couldn't feel a thing with my son, pushed for 2.5 hrs and recovery was terrible. That's my delivery advice. Good luck!!!
I was induced last month. Eat before you arrive to the hospital because you will not be allowed to until after delivery. Even if you are not completely hungry still make sure to put something in your system. If you are offered a sleeping pill, take it! This was our first and I was in labor for 13 hours and 24 mins (pushed for 2.5 hours). Be prepared, pitocin will make you gassy! :) Good luck and hope you have a safe labor and especially delivery!!
Thanks I've herd it can a while too but it's my second baby so I hope it goes faster but I don't know
Good Luck! I hear it can sometimes take a long time, so bring a book or some form of entertainment
