...is Ibuprofen safe???

I've googled it & gotten so many different answers.. I'm 8 weeks + 3 days. just been having sinus crap going on, and I feel like I may have a small fever.. I feel fine other than that. is it okay to take an ibuprofen.. & if yes, how much? I know the baby is at a sensitive state right now & I'll suck it up if I have to. I was just worried me having a fever would affect the baby.. thank you in advance!! ftm and freaking out! ((:

thank you! I think I just got way too warm earlier.. I feel great, other than being up at 4:10 a.m. and not being sleepy. I'm so exhausted, but laying down is hopeless. I no longer feel like I have a fever though.. since I changed clothes, drank some ginger ale, and peed.. a lot! lol no ibuprofen for me!

If you have a fever go and see your Dr or midwife as that isn't good for the baby either, especially during first trimester as that is the most dangerous time for baby. And don't take the ibuprofen it has been linked to low birth weight and miscarriage. Hope you feel better soon

No it is not! Only take Tylenol, if necessary.

Yes Tylenol is the only thing really approved by doctors. Ibuprofen is not recommended at all or any other nsaids medications such as motrin or aleve and i know you are only in your first trimester but for future reference it's especially bad in the third trimester as it can lead to premature closure of a part on the baby's heart that is not supposed to close until after they are born and it automatically does so itself. If you can get some Tylenol tomorrow it's best to do that or nothing. :-( sorry you aren't feeling well but try and get sleep.
