lice, bladder issues, and possibly strep throat oh my!

Hi ladies so not a pregnancy question just feeling stressed right now and wanted to see how other moms are dealing. Im almost 30 weeks and i already have a daughter. Theyre having problems with lice at her school and they found a couple nits on her wednesday, shes been having past trouble with utis and now has been diagnosed with overactice bladder thursday, and then started running a fever that night and did again last night throat puffy and hurting so bout to go to dr again. And thurs her insurance is apparently inactive and dss has not notified me of any changes and will not return my calls and im having to pay out of pocket for it all. I found an nc gov website where u can apply online and not mess with dss think ill try that because im being laid off next month from my job ive had 7 yrs and i have to get insurance for both of us until i can get back on my feet. Any advice or thoughts with any of this?

Sorry to hear that you're getting hit from so many angles. Try going to your local health department and apply for pregnancy medicaid.  It will cover the cost of you having the baby,  and also the baby up to the first year. I work for the state and they will usually give you a temporary card the same day of your visit. You can also visit your local dhr website to apply for insurance for your daughter for little to nothing most of the time. Also, when applying for the assistance they sometimes cover the previous three months, and it will not take long to get approved.
