manual or external cephalic version on breech baby?

Hi! Im 36 weeks and my baby is still breech. The dr is recommending an ECV where they would try to manually flip her at 37 weeks. Im wondering if anyone has tried this or knows someone that has? I have been reading and watching videos about it and it doesnt look like something I want to try but Im ssuppose to let me dr know on wed if I want to try it or not.
Thanks!

Hey. Ftm Here. I Had The Version Done On My Breech Baby. Don't Watch Anymore Videos Lol. I Had It Done At 36+1 ( Sadly I'm 40+4 Right Now, Being Induced Tomorrow). Anyway, I Knew If I Didn't Try, I'd always Wonder What If.. So I Did It. There's Nothing wrong With C Section, But I Didn't Want To Just Automatically Have  One Without Trying The Version. They Would Not Have Recommended You (I Hope) Unless You Were A Good Candidate. They Were Able To Turn My Baby, He Is Still Head Down, So Even Though I Need To Be Induced, I Still Have A Chance For Vaginal Birth.

My Experience (I Know This Is What You Wasn't To Know):Went To Labor And Delivery, They Got Monitor On Baby Fr His Heart And On Me FOr Contractions, Make Sure They Weren't Going To Send Me Into Labor And That The Baby Was Not 'Stressed'. An Hour Later, Things Look Good  I Get A Drug - This Drug Relaxes The Uterus So A. They Can Manipulate It And B. They Don't Trigger Contractions (They Think Of,Everything!) It takes 20 Minutes Ish To Take Effect. Downside: This Is Not Your Typical Relaxer Side Effects Is That Is Jacks Up Your Heart Rate And Causes Anxiety. As If You Needed Help In That Category, Right? Well my Doctor warned me Of this So I Could Mentally Prepare. It Actually,Wasn't That Bad, Probably Because he Warned Me. I Recommend Breathing As Slow And Controlled As Possible When They Give It To You, Doing That Really Really Helped Me Stay Calm And Manage Those Bad Side Effects. My Doctor Is Funny, He Joked That When I Was Freaking Out It meant The Drug Was Working And They Could Do The Move. So With The Monitors Still In Place, He Basically Man Handled The Bump, While Another Doctor Had An Ultrasound On Me So They Could Keep,Track Of Him. They Turned Him In About Fve Minutes.  Then They Monitored us FOr Another Two Hours And I Wasn't Allowed To Eat.

It's A Personal Decision, Totally Up To You. This Was,My Experience. I'm Glad I Did It And Have A Chance To Not Have Major Abdominal Surgery (C Section). If You Have AnyOther Questions I'm Happy TO tell You Anything I Know

My baby is breeched & I am 38 weeks. Scheduled C-section in 2 weeks. I have read they can manually flip her but there may be a reason that she hasn't flipped...I have also read it is pretty painful to do the over the stomach manual flip.
I am going to a chiropractor now that specializes in pregnancy & is doing the Websters Technique - idk if it will work, but we are trying.

My Baby Was Breech But Was Too Scared To Try That & Glad I Didn't Bcz When She Came Out Her Hip Was Out Of The Socket & Had To Wear A Body Brace Till She Was 6 Months So It Would've Made It Worse ! Just Had A C-Section !

If your not comfortable with it then don't do it...your baby still has time if he/she hasn't actually wedged its bones into the birth canal. Have you tryed crawling and using a yoga ball to swirl on. I read in an old midwifery book that both of those things daily can prompt your baby to flip right. Best of luck to you.
