maternity clothes

How far along was everyone when they started to wear maternity clothes?  I'm overweight to start and feel it's too soon to wear them,  even though I've lost 6 lbs already

About 16 weeks. My smack gets big quick during pregnancy. And my shirts get too short and going up a size doesn't help bc a month later those are too short haha. I love cute maternity clothes! :-)

15 weeks. I hadn't gained any weight by then but nothing fit. Now I am almost 26 weeks and ive gained almost 4 lbs and even some maternity shirts are getting short on the belly. Do it whenever you feel your clothes are getting tight or uncomfortable or buy a belly band or use rubber bands to gold pants closed so you dont have to button them if they are tight.

I started at 20 weeks. Best decision I have made so far. I am only needing to wear mat pants currently, but they are soooo comfy. My bump needs to get a bit bigger still to hold them up properly but I couldnt do up my other pants so I figured I might as well make the plunge seeing as I will need them eventually anyways

Some maternity clothing is quite boring, although there are a few great stylish brands. Most women find them to expensive!! I personally am willing to pay the price, especially places like Oh mommy, Motherhood Maternity etc. I have found tons of stylish outfits, dresses etc online, even very sexy maternity lingerie ;) I begin using maternity clothing around about 26+. But since you say your plus size, you can probably begin using them earlier. How far along are you??

I started wearing maternity jeans at around 11 wks cuz I gained a lot of weight so early.  I'm 18 wks now and can still wear reg jeans, they just don't button.  Maternity shirts I'm not quite there yet, probably in another couple of wks when my bump becomes proper.

Wear them when your ready! I feel like I started wearing them early, but they are so comfortable! No one needs to know and the most important thing is that you are comfortable. And you'll need to buy them at some point, so what if it's a little sooner than most women! :)

I think I was around 25wks with my first, though up until then I could only wear leggings and comfortable tops or dresses. I'm 15wks now with my second, and having to wear maternity clothes already.
