membrane sweep how long did it take

I'm getting a membrane sweep this thursday for the first time never got one for my first daughter cause I had her at 37 wks but for this pregnancy it seems that she don't wanna come out I'm already 38 wks and 3 days and 1 cm open for the past two wks .. Just wanna know does it hurt and how long it took you ladies to go into labor after you got it done

When I had mine done my water broke two days later.

You will be sore for a few hours....but its tolerable.

Oh...I should mention that I was still only at 1 1/2 cm when my water broke...but started progressing slowly then.

It hurts a bit. I had one done with no results. After sitting at 1cm for 3 1/2 weeks. The second one hurt worse but did the trick. That was Wednesday, lost my plug over the next 3 days, and then my water broke on Sunday morning at 11:40 am. Had baby 6 pm Monday night.
