moms can you help

I have a question, does a baby need to get a shot at 2 weeks? I went to the wic and they told me that at 2 weeks a baby gets a shot on there heel. Does anyone know if they really do need it at 2 weeks old?

My daughter got hers at the hospital before we left, she never got anything else on her feet after that, nor did her dr mention anything either.

Okay so she still needs the second part. Does her pediatrician need to do the kpu or do I need to take her back to the hospital she was born in?

The PKU test is done in 2 parts. 1st usually at the hospital around 1to2 days, the 2nd around 2wks. Babies 1st shots are at 2month well check dr visit.

They did that to her the first day she was born. So then she doesn't need to get poked again?

Usually the pku is in the heel. Its not a shot. They draw blood to test for rare but fatal diseases. Its usually done at 1-2 days old.
