When my son was born, he was wrapped in a towel and given to me for skin to skin.    After that the nurse washed and dressed him (I'd had a section too) after giving me a bed bath, and put him in one of the babygrows I'd gotten him, then wrapped him in the blanket that I had brought with me :) x

I was able to put her in clothes from home but they just had a no blanket policy. If you haven't gone on your hospital tour I would ask during that or just call labor and delivery and ask.

That going to depend on the hospital. At the hospital when I had my little girl 9 weeks ago they no longer use blankets and only allow sleep sacs.
