nipple piercings and breast feeding

Just wondering if anyone out there has had success breast feeding with pierced nipples. I have had it done for 7 years now and will obviously take the jewelry out when feeding, just curious to know if it has stopped anyone else from being able to breast feed or not?

I had mine pierced for 4 years or so. I took them out over a year ago and actually prefer them out. I do have scars though which I am not a fan of. But they were fun for the time I had them done. I didn't think they were painful to get done. I did faint as soon as I stood up though lol. It's a quick pain. :) glad to hear others that can still breastfeed. I plan to and was a little worried that I might run into problems.

Thats awesome news, thanks ladies. Very much appreciated.
I didnt find the pain bad at all. I couldnt give you a 1-10 rating though cause it was so long ago. If you want it go get it, its over with so quickly that its not a big deal!!

Guess what, if you have feeling in your nipple then you most certainly can breastfeed!!! No worries!! :)

I had one pierced for years and took it out before baby came.. I had no problems feeding. Baby preferred that side cuz it came out a little faster. I never had any pain.

I had one of mine pierced before my last kiddo i took it out after he was born, the side i had pierced always hurt to the point of putting me in tears sometimes. My hole never closed so after i was done nursing i put my ring back in. When i found out i was preggers this time i took it out right away in hopes it wont hurt as bad this time
