pls Help...taking too much prenatal vitamins

Hi ladies
My Doc prescribed me prenatal vitamins and prenatal vitamins with DHA.
I went to the pharmacy for a refill and the pharmacist was very surprised that I am taking both vitamins. She said that they both have the same ingredients, except that the one has DHA in it. It's like I am taking double dose.
Do you have any ideas if it's dangerous for my baby? I am in my 19th week. I wrote to my doc, he hasn't answered yet. I am so worried
Thank you

Wouldn't your body just  take what it needs and pee out the rest? You should be fine...
but stupid doctor why would he do that???

Read the daily values on each. I would switch to only taking one until you find out, too much vitamin A can be dangerous for baby.

I was told to take my vitamin 2x a day because my iron is on the low side, bordering anemia so if thats the case with you maybe thats why they double it for you, or maybe it is a 2 pill formula so it'd be like only taking one

You need to be careful with iron and vitamin A. Those can be toxic to you if you take too much, however most vitamins only contain about 40% of you recommended daily value of those... As for everything else you are just creating very expensive pee. Your body will only absorb so much so the rest is usually excreted through urine

Is it a dha prenatal? Or just a dha vitamin (ex: oceans mom) ? Cause I have organic prenatal plus I take the dha vitamins. But it doesn't state it's a prenatal.

No you should be only taking the DHA one. Never take two prenatal pills in one day it says it on the warning label

That doesnt seem right. I dont think you should be taking 2 seperate prenatal vitamins at once, it should just be the one with the DHA.
