plz reply..worried about low rbc and high wbc..

Hi dear moms.i was having fast heart beat since 3 days.my doc asked me to have blood and urine test.got reports today im having 12.8 high wbc and 4.1 low red blood cells..is this normal r should i be worried abt it ?? Im ftm and so much tensed.will visit my doc after 4days..could nt get appt earlier..plz tell is this harmful for my baby ?? Dnt know what has happened to me in pregnancy i have become so sensitive and get depressed always.hope there is nothing to worry :-(

12.8 isn't very high in pregnancy. You are more likely to have slightly elevated wbcs during pregnancy because it is foreign and your body sees it as such. I am guessing your dr isn't going to bat an eyelash as that. Low rbcs in pregnancy is common too. I would be more concerned about your platelets and hemoglobin and hematocrit. (L&D RN)

I don't know what any of that means, unfortunately, but the change in emotions part definitely could be hormones.

The high wbc is a little concerning and they will run a cbc to check for infection. However the low rbc is most likely  normal you will need ro up your iron intake.
